We’re looking for an experienced and data-driven Service Charge Data & Performance Manager to lead the integrity, governance and performance of service charge data across Southern Housing.
Reporting to the Director of Service Charge & Specialist Leasehold Services, you’ll be responsible for ensuring service charge information is accurate, transparent, auditable and compliant. You’ll provide high-quality insight and assurance to support operational decision-making, financial control and continuous improvement across the organisation.
As the organisational lead for service charge data management and performance reporting, you’ll work closely with colleagues across Finance, Asset Management, Building Safety, Operations, Development and Technology. You’ll champion a data-led approach to service charge management, helping to deliver accurate, recoverable and transparent service charges while reducing organisational risk.
You’ll lead across data governance, performance reporting, assurance frameworks, financial oversight and continuous improvement, ensuring robust controls and high-quality information underpin service charge delivery.
You’ll be based at one of our main offices in Farringdon, Croydon or Sittingbourne, with the option for hybrid working where appropriate and agreed with your manager.

You’ll bring:
• Significant experience in service charge management, including leasehold service charges, recoverability principles and relevant legislation
• Strong data analysis, reporting and performance management skills, with the ability to turn complex information into meaningful insight
• Experience of budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, with a focus on accuracy, risk management and value for money
• Experience developing and maintaining data governance, assurance and quality control frameworks
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and present information confidently at all levels
• Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes, resolve issues and drive continuous improvement
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate teams, manage performance and deliver results through others
• Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines
• Degree‑level qualification (or equivalent professional experience) and the ability to operate effectively at management level
• Membership of TPI or RICS, or extensive experience of major works consultation, major works billing and leasehold service charge administration
About the team
You’ll be part of our Service Charge team, which is responsible for delivering accurate, transparent and compliant service charges for our residents and leaseholders.
The team works closely with colleagues across Finance, Housing and Property Services to ensure service charges are calculated correctly, communicated clearly and supported by accurate data. By maintaining high standards and a customer focused approach, the team plays a vital role in building trust and supporting positive customer experiences.
